Amy Furey

Owner, Pole & Hoop Instructor

Amy first discovered aerial fitness in June 2007 when she went to her first pole dancing class and remembers how nervous she felt, but how quickly she fell in love with the sport. A few years later she started attending aerial hoop classes (also known as lyra) and discovered how beautifully the two work together for cross training. She loves the combination of grace, dance, strength and flexibility that aerial fitness has to offer.
Amy has been teaching pole for 5 years and hoop for 3 and says: “I find it incredibly rewarding watching the confidence and strength of my students grow.”
Recently, she has had the opportunity to run her own aerial fitness classes and so 'Delilah High Aerial' was born. Amy finds it extremely fulfilling running her own classes, where she creates strong and trusting relationships with her students, in order to encourage and support them during their aerial fitness journey.
Amy is a qualified Exercise to Music Instructor, First Aider and Hoop and Pole Instructor with Spin City Instructor Training. She is also a Pole Dance Community Approved Instructor. Amy is fully insured to teach aerial hoop and pole fitness. She also trained in Ballet, Jazz and Tap between the ages of 5-16.

Robin De Meyere

Pole Instructor

Robin is from Hong Kong and is currently completing a PhD/DPhil in Materials for Aero-Propulsion at the University of Oxford.
Robin fell in love with pole some 6 years ago and has been teaching for 5 - he cannot express how much the discipline has changed his life for the better and helped him find a supportive and international community.
He set out to create and preside the Oxford University Pole Sports Club after realising how little Oxford was involved in the inter-university pole scene at national student level – thus building and training a team to compete at IUPDC last year.

Mel Lee

Pole Instructor

Mel is an aerospace project manager, who started pole in 2015 during her undergraduate studies at Imperial College. She was Miss Pole Dance Scotland 2018/2019, and was most recently seen placing at international competitions such as Exotic Generation (2nd Place, Old School) and PSO Zurich 2019 (1st Place, All Floor All Day)
