What is COVID-19?

COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus, which is a type of virus, first identified in Wuhan City, China in January 2020.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19?

The main symptoms of COVID-19 are a high temperature, a new continuous cough and anosmia (loss of taste or smell). Infections can cause more severe symptoms in those with weakened immune systems, older people and those with long-term conditions such as diabetes, cancer and chronic lung disease.

Symptoms can start to appear up to 14 days after exposure to the virus.

How is COVID-19 spread?

COVID-19 is most likely spread from symptomatic people to others who are in close contact with them (less than 2 metres) through respiratory droplets when coughing or sneezing, or by contact with contaminated objects and surfaces.

Delilah High Aerial has put into place the following preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, however the studio cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. Furthermore, attending classes at Delilah High Aerial could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19.

Instruction and Spotting

  • At times maintaining social distancing may not be possible and so instructors and clients should work side by side or facing away from each other rather than face to face.

  • Instructors will plan classes so that spotting should not be required.

  • Students will be encouraged to work on regressions and strength training to reduce the need for physical spotting.

Sickness

  • Students must alert the studio if they develop the symptoms of COVID-19 within one week of attending a class.

  • If a student is showing signs of COVID-19 they will be asked to leave.

  • Students must not return to class within 14 days of developing symptoms or being in close contact with anyone who is showing symptoms of COVID-19.

  • You will be contacted in the event that an outbreak of COVID-19 is detected at the studio.

Class sizes and prices

  • Class sizes are limited to 4 or 5 per class. This is to allow 1 person per pole/hoop.

  • The price of each class is £10 PAYG only.

  • As class sizes are reduced, you can change the day/time of your class up to 24hours before the class starts.
